On September 1st, the Fifth General Assembly of the Jade and Gemstone Branch of the China Jewelry and Gemstone Association (hereinafter referred to as "CJGA") was successfully held in Golmud City, Qinghai Province. Attendees included key leaders such as Ye Zhibin, President of CJGA; Liu Shengchun, Vice President of CJGA and Chairman of Qinghai Kunlun Jade Co., Ltd.; Li Wenwei, Vice President of CJGA and Chairman of Jiangsu Yuling Jewelry Technology Co., Ltd.; Yu Haiyang, Vice President of CJGA and Chairman of Yanbian Fuli Garnet Mining Co., Ltd.; and Yu Chunmin, Deputy Supervisor of CJGA. A total of 118 members from the jade industry association, quality inspection institutions, research organizations, and jade processing enterprises across the country gathered to discuss the development strategies for the jade industry.

The meeting listened to the work report of the 4th Jade and Stone Branch, reviewed and voted on the revised "Work Regulations of the 5th Jade and Stone Branch of the China Association of Treasures" and a series of documents such as the "Work Plan of the 5th Jade and Stone Branch of the China Association of Treasures", and elected a new leadership team for the branch. Afterwards, the relevant materials will be submitted to the China Treasure Association Council for review as required.

The meeting conducted an in-depth analysis of the opportunities and challenges faced by the current jade industry, sorted out the main problems existing in the industry, and made research and deployment on the work goals and development plans of the 5th Jade Branch of the China Association of Treasures for the next 5 years.

In his speech, Ye Zhibin, the President of the China Treasure Association, pointed out that the new Jade and Stone Branch should accurately grasp the new situation and requirements of the current industry development, fully play the role of the China Treasure Association as a bridge and platform for national industry organizations, continuously strengthen its own construction, bravely break through thinking patterns and traditional path dependence, seize the opportunities of the times, and actively seize the momentum. He emphasized that the Jade and Stone Branch should have a high sense of political responsibility and industry mission, play a more important role in vigorously promoting jade and stone culture, adhering to integrity and innovation, promoting industrial chain supplementation, extension and strengthening, and stimulating the potential of domestic demand market. Efforts should be made to inject new impetus into the long-term stable development of China's jewelry and jade market, and create a new pattern of work for the Jade and Stone Branch.

During the meeting, Xu Jin, Deputy Secretary of Golmud Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Golmud Municipal People's Government, Zhang Guohong, Director of the Golmud Office of the People's Government of the Xizang Autonomous Region and the Administrative Committee of the Tibetan Green Industrial Park of the Xizang Autonomous Region, held discussions with some members respectively to discuss the key issues of jade industry development.

In order to actively comply with the new requirements for high-quality development of the jade and stone industry, the conference has identified 11 key tasks that need to be urgently promoted by the new jade and stone branch: firstly, to strengthen government enterprise collaboration and industry guidance, establish and improve a normalized communication and discussion mechanism with government departments, enterprises and institutions, and build an efficient linkage platform; Secondly, we will deepen industry investigation, statistics, and data services, build a data collection and analysis system that covers the entire chain and multiple dimensions, and provide scientific basis for industrial decision-making; The third is to promote the innovation of jade culture and academia, create diversified communication platforms, and promote the deep integration of industry and culture; The fourth is to improve the talent cultivation and evaluation system, establish an integrated mechanism of "education, evaluation, and utilization", and consolidate the foundation of industry development; The fifth is to build an integrated industry information service platform, empower industry development through digital transformation, and create a comprehensive information support system; Sixth, innovate the sales model of jade culture, build diversified sales channels, strengthen cultural dissemination, and enhance product added value; Seventh, explore the development path of art finance, promote the assetization and financialization of jade art, and stimulate the vitality of market capital; Eighth, deepen the evaluation and inheritance exchange of jade culture and art, and achieve the synergistic enhancement of industrial value and cultural value; The ninth is to expand industry exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, and build a multi-level and all-round linkage mechanism; Ten is to strengthen the self construction of the branch, enhance service capabilities and governance efficiency, and ensure efficient performance of duties; Eleven is to conscientiously implement the tasks assigned by government departments and the China Treasure Association, strengthen emergency response and responsibility.

This conference further consolidated industry consensus and boosted industry confidence. The attending members unanimously expressed their willingness to innovate and take proactive measures to jointly promote the jade industry towards a new stage of high-quality development. The conference issued a strong call for the entire industry to resolutely eliminate counterfeit goods, strengthen industry self-discipline, and jointly maintain a healthy and orderly market environment.

The meeting also organized an inspection of the mines of the enterprises affiliated with Guoyu Jewelry. The members of the branch gained a detailed understanding of the mining, production and processing of raw stones, as well as market operations. They also had in-depth discussions on topics such as green mining construction, efficient resource utilization, brand building, and market expansion. This inspection provides important reference for promoting upstream and downstream collaboration in the industrial chain and promoting deep integration of industry, academia, research and application.
